6 Things Which Makes You Analyse About Yourself!

SELF ANALYSIS, Why it is important?

No one else knows you better than yourself. In some cases, people who fail to connect to their inner selves find it hard to get a hold of their lives. Other people tend to dominate or take over their lives. Would you want others to run your life because they know your strengths and weaknesses more than you do? Also in some situation we are unable to make decisions because we get numb, that what we actually want, and no one can help us in that particular situation. So, until and unless if we won’t analyse ourselves we cannot run our life properly. Then what will happen? Only time runs and life becomes stagnant and tough. So, self-analysis is really very important.

There are many ways to learn how to analyze yourself.

I. Write about your thoughts

Your thoughts are an integral part of who you are. They often guide how you feel as well as your attitude and perceptions of situations. Monitor your thoughts and recognize the content. Are your thoughts negative? Do you put yourself down, or always think something will go wrong? Which areas of your life are you most hard on yourself? Observe the things happening around you, and then recognize the actions and your thoughts, what impacts you and why it impacts you?

II. Meditate

I have heard somewhere that Self-analysis and meditation cannot be performed at the same time. But I think meditation is the best way for self-analysis. I am also not very interested in meditation. I don’t know why but recently I was suffering from certain crisis and my mind was numb, then I did meditation and let me tell you all that I got so relaxed, so positive and as soon as I got peace, I was able to analyse myself. So, I would strongly recommend Meditation for Self-Analysis.

III. Walk Alone

The feeling of loneliness stems from bearing sole responsibility for making the decision. Sometimes walking alone in a park makes you feel different. Your mind will get open with each breeze of air and you allow your mind to widen up more and more. Someone truly says that “command is lonely,” not “commanders are alone.”  So take a walk and analysis yourself.

IV. Observe Flashbacks

A flashback is a psychological phenomenon in which an individual has a sudden, usually powerful, re-experiencing of a past experience or elements of a past experience. These experiences can be happy, sad, exciting, or any other emotion one can consider. Understanding who you are and why you do the things that you do is not always easy. Much of what drives behavior and self-perception is the result of subconscious attitudes and beliefs. Observe the flashbacks that whether you seriously wanted this? Why you did this? Have you play smart or easy? or Someone else played with your emotions? It is important to dig deep in order to figure out how you truly see yourself on a subconscious level.

V. Talk

Contrary to popular opinion, talking to ourselves is not the first sign of madness.  We all have a silent, internal conversation with ourselves, in our mind, almost all of the time.  This is called Internal Self-Talk and is totally natural and healthy. Self-talk is basically your inner voice, the voice in your mind which says things that you don’t necessarily say out loud. Often self-talk happens without you even realizing it and can be a subtle running commentary going on in the background of your mind. But what you say in your mind can determine a lot of how you feel about who you are. We have two types of Self-Talk; Positive & Negative.

Positive self-talk is the stuff that makes you feel good about yourself and the things that are going on in your life. It is like having an optimistic voice in your head that always looks on the bright side.

Negative self-talk is the stuff that makes you feel pretty crappy about yourself and things that are going on. It can put a downer on anything, whether it is good or bad.

So, There are three things you can do that can help with changing the direction of your self-talk.

  • Listen to what you are saying to yourself.
  • Monitor your self-talk.
  • Change your self-talk by keep on challenging your negative self- talk.

Moreover, not only self-talk is important but talking to people around you will also help you realize more about you. So, Talk & Talk, Walk & Walk 😊

VI. Stay Calm

Sometimes keep yourself calm is really important. But don’t mix it up with meditation. There is a thin line difference between two. Stay calm and observe the things, it is not necessary to react each and every time and I think sometimes we use to get tired of reacting and found no use of it. So better stay calm, relax your mind and analyse how things bothers you, how it impacts you or what is your state of mind in different-different situations & how can you excel yourself for the betterment of yourself.

Daily self-analysis or self-examination is indispensable. Then alone can you remove your defects and can grow rapidly in spirituality. A gardener watches the young plants very carefully. He removes the weeds daily. He puts a strong fence around them. He waters them at the proper time. Then alone they grow beautifully and yield fruits quickly. Even so, you should find out your defects through daily introspection and self-analysis, and then eradicate them through suitable methods. If one method fails, you must adopt a combined method.
